What is Kratom? Also known by its formal name, Mitragyna Speciosa originating from the Evergreen tree.

This is a great question. Kratom has reached high levels of popularity, quickly, as it is being recognized for its medicinal properties with a wide range of strains available for different ailments/symptoms. To put it simply, Kratom has an original form of a leaf, this leaf is refined into powder and this may be the form you have seen. Kratom capsules and liquids are also coming into the mix in more recent times.

When purchasing Kratom, an important thing to educate yourself on, are as follows: the different strains of Kratom, the effects of Kratom, how much Kratom to take, how often it's recommended to take Kratom, and the safety/warning precautions to take when consuming Kratom. Although this is a 100% NATURAL plant, Kratom should be thought of as a natural opioid as it does react with the opioid receptors in the brain. Kratom is a non-addictive, natural plant. However, if you have an addictive history, you are at risk to potentially becoming addicted to the feeling Kratom gives you. It is not recommended to take Kratom more than 2x per day and if taking Kratom everyday, be SURE to give yourself a 2-3 day break at a time from taking Kratom.

After extensive research and experimentation here at Hemp Connect, we feel as if a safe place to start when taking Kratom is 2-4grams depending on body weight and previous tolerances to opioids. If too much Kratom is taken, you may experience nausea, vomiting, or extreme dizziness. It is important to have a light snack or a small amount of food in your system beforehand to prevent any nausea or dizziness.
